Aurora Choir
The Aurora Choir seeks to build a community of people who enjoy making music together and performing it to a good standard.
Our repertoire aims to include a variety of music with broad appeal to a diverse audience, underpinned by a Christian worldview and singers who share or are sympathetic to that.
We believe in the power of music to uplift and inspire singers and audience alike and leave them with a positive and memorable experience.

Meet Roseanna Dunn, Aurora’s new Choir Director (from September)
We are delighted to announce that Aurora’s new Choir Director will be Roseanna Dunn, who will be starting in September.
She says: I am a conductor, composer, and arts practitioner based in London. I completed my MPhil in music at Sidney Sussex College Cambridge, with support from the Vaughan Williams Foundation, and graduatewd with distinction and the Arthur Bliss Prize. Previously, I read music at Churchill College Cambridge as a Rob and Hillary Douglas Bursary Student, graduating with first class honours and a Prize Scholarship award.
Before coming to Aurora, I was the Assistant Director of the Inter Alios Choir of Churchill and Murray Edwards Colleges Cambridge, leading the chamber choir through events including BBC Radio Three features, Ely Cathedral evensongs, and several recording sessions. Before that, I spent three years with the Inter Alios Choir as a Choral Scholar, leading the alto section. I have also previously been a musical director with the Love Pop Choir, Resident Conductor and Composer at the 2022 Minerva Festival, a resident conductor with the Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra, and an associate conductor with the Cambridge University Opera Society.
Alongside my conducting, I work as a composer across the UK and beyond. My current and most recent commissioners and collaborators include the North Wales International Music Festival, the John Armitage Memorial Foundation, Artspring Berlin, Voce Chamber Choir, ClubTogetherClub and the Marsyas Trio. I am also active as a vocalist and harpist, having performed in the BBC Proms, the Royal Festival Hall, St Martin in the Fields, St Mark’s Basilica, the Canadian Parliament Buildings, on BBC look East, and as a Music for Youth Finalist with Novem Consort at the Royal Albert Hall in 2018.
In addition to the Aurora Choir, I also lead the Cathedral Music Trust’s Small Sounds programme for Pimlico, am a member of the editorial board for the journal Off Kilter at Goldsmith’s University, and continue to work nationally as a composer, arranger, and performer.
I look forward to starting with Aurora in September, and to meeting everyone at the Christmas Concert!
